Some In Texas Concerned Over AT&T Stadium Roof Panel Falling To Field
AT&T Stadium in Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys, has had a rough couple of days.
First, players had to deal with the sun being in their eyes during a game, Following owner Jerry Jones' ire over the problem, curtains suddenly appeared for the Jake Paul-Mike Tyson fight. It's safe to say the stadium has plenty of eyes upon it.
With so many complaints appearing at one time, some in the Dallas Cowboys fandom believed it couldn't get worse for the brand overall. Unfortunately, the age old saying of "if I can go wrong, it will" applies to the stadium once again, this time with the roof of the building.
Before many excited fans were set to enter the building, the roof had a major issue. But what exactly happened?
Why Did A Part Of AT&T Stadium's Roof Fall Off?
Video of the moment was captured by WFAA, showing many in the area worried about what just occurred:
According to CBS News, thankfully no injuries happened from the roof part falling. But per Jerry Jones, when asked about how it happened, told CBS News:
"Wind gust all day long...We opened and shut the door long before anyone came in there. We do that to avoid those fans and risk...The piece was loose from the heavy winds."
In addition, a representative for the stadium said to the news organization:
"We can confirm a piece of metal came loose and fell to the field, along with some additional small debris, while the roof was in the process of opening."
Due to the result of the game, Houston did take advantage of the situation:
