During  a performance in Quebec City, Canada on Sunday, the Grammy-winning performer spoke out about the recent acquittal of George Zimmerman, announcing he would boycott the state.

"I decided today that until the "Stand Your Ground" law is abolished in Florida,I will never perform there again" he told the audience."As a matter of fact, wherever I find the law exists ,I will not perform in that state or in that part of the world."

Big props to Mr. Wonder for this stand.

But he is only one artist that has voiced his displeasure with this law. For it to really have an impact, other artists need to step up and join him in this protest. Imagine if some of the biggest names in music and sports decided they would also boycott the " Sunshine State."  How much of an effect it would have.

There is strength in numbers and the more that join Stevie in this protest can perhaps if nothing else start a discussion and make a change in other states and around the world.
