
SHOCKING BETRAYAL: Waco man assaulted pregnant girlfriend after paternity dispute, affidavit reveals
Dominick Rangel, 21, of Waco, is facing a third-degree felony charge for the assault of his pregnant girlfriend, according to KWTX and court affidavit records. The incident reportedly occurred after Rangel learned he may not be the father of her unborn child.

Waco police were dispatched to the Southwind Apartments at 1901 Ritcher Avenue at 4:00 p.m. on October 21. The victim told officers her boyfriend, Rangel, had repeatedly assaulted her and was destroying property inside her home. Rangel was taken into custody by officers inside the residence.

The couple, who have one child together, had recently reconciled. The affidavit states that Rangel became enraged when the victim said that her family would always support her even if the baby weren't his. The victim claims Rangel punched her multiple times, specifically in the back, in what she believes was an attempt to end her pregnancy.
The victim also reported that Rangel stole her son's birth certificate and Social Security card before police arrived. Rangel was arrested on October 22 and released on a $5,000 bond.
