The Puerto Rican Baker Introducing Waco to The Flavors of Her Childhood
The more I travel to Waco, Texas, the more I realize how beautiful the city is and how versatile it is when it comes to food choices. I do have to admit, though, that it can be really hard to find certain things I truly enjoy, and one of them is Puerto Rican pastries. Something about the style and culture of Puerto Rican baking truly fascinates me. The food is always super buttery, super sweet, and always delicious.

Why Did Naomi Jimenez Start Puffy Postcard?
That’s why, when I heard there was a Puerto Rican baker bringing the taste of home to Waco, according to KWTX, I had to see what was happening. Naomi Jimenez, owner and operator of Puffy Postcards, started this delicious bakery journey and says that every time she bakes, it allows her to think about home, Puerto Rico. She described it as feeling like “a postcard from home” whenever she cooks.
Here Is How You Can Contact Puffy Postcards
Now that Jimenez makes meals and pastries that remind her of home, she says she appreciates those memories even more while being far away. She explained that growing up in the countryside in a small town helped her learn to appreciate the little things, and now she can share that with others through her baking.
If you ever get the chance to try her food, I honestly believe you’ll be in for a treat. You can contact her to place an order at puffypostcards@gmail.com.
