Waco, Texas, is bringing back the Waco Walk to End Alzheimer’s, and the community still has time to register.

From Legend's Crossing to a Cure: Waco's Annual Alzheimer's Walk Is Back
According to Fox 44, this year’s event will take place at Legends Crossing, located at 5100 Cross Lake Parkway, on Saturday, October 11. Registration begins at 9:00 AM, followed by a special ceremony at 10:00 AM, with the walk itself starting at 10:45 AM.

According to the official website, funds raised during the event will support the care, support, and research efforts of the Alzheimer’s Association.
Anyone who registers and raises a minimum of $100 will receive an official Walk to End Alzheimer’s T-shirt.

Participants will also be able to choose a flower color that represents their personal connection to the disease:
Orange represents those who support the cause and the Association’s vision of a world without Alzheimer’s and all other dementias.
Blue represents someone currently living with Alzheimer’s or another form of dementia.
Purple is for those who have lost someone to the disease.
Yellow represents someone who is currently supporting or caring for a person living with Alzheimer’s.
