Trivago Spokesman Tim Williams Arrested for DUI in Houston

Tim Williams, known to TV viewers as "the Trivago guy", was arrested in Houston earlier this week after police say they found him passed out drunk behind the wheel of a vehicle.

The Houston Chronicle reports that the actor, a 52-year-old Houston native, was found with his foot on the brake in a moving lane of traffic Wednesday, April 10 at 3:15 PM.

Williams reportedly failed a field sobriety test and submitted to a blood test. He was released on $100 bond and is set to appear in court again on April 17.

KHOU-TV reports that Williams has been ordered to undergo a mental health assessment.

Williams has appeared in several television shows and films, but is perhaps most recognizable as the TV spokesman for Trivago.com, a Germany-based travel site that allows users to compare hotel prices. According to his IMDB page, he's represented the company since 2016.
