We're jamming this and every weekend on Throwback Sunday spinning those classic jams from the 80's and 90's and this week we take it back to 1983 for a Motown classic!

In the early 80's Motown Records found itself at a crossroads as the artists that found the label such as The Temptations, Diana Ross and The Jacksons all left the label in search of more modern sounds. But Motown acquired Rick James and began to pair the singer/producer/songwriter with its older acts including The Tempts. But it was when he dropped his "Cold Blooded" album that Rick teamed up with Smokey Robinson to pen a classic slow jam that still jams to this day! "Ebony Eyes" was written by James as an ode to the love he never went after and is still so soulful we had to jam it today!
