VIDEO: Texas Women Face Dangerous Risk At Gas Station Bathrooms
Sex trafficking in Texas is a serious issue that is not taken lightly. Over the years, it has been estimated that around 79,000 youth and minors in Texas have been victims of sex trafficking. However, this number may not be entirely accurate, as it doesn’t account for individuals who have not come forward about this heinous crime. The sex trafficking of young children and women has been estimated to cost over $6 billion annually, which includes the long-term cost of care for survivors as well as the burden on law enforcement and the criminal justice system.

Texas Authorities Warn of Potential Trafficking Tactic at Gas Stations
Recently, Texas women have been targeted again for sex trafficking, but this time, the situation may be even more dangerous. It was shared on social media that sex traffickers are using a new tactic to traffic women in Texas. A Texas woman recently went to a gas station to use the restroom when she noticed something very odd about the doors on the women’s bathroom. There was a lock on the outside of the door to the women’s bathroom, but the men’s bathroom did not have a lock. This raised red flags for the young woman, and once authorities were called, it was explained that not only was this illegal, but the fire marshal also demanded that the lock be removed.
Staying Safe in Texas: Awareness at Gas Station Restrooms is Key
When the store manager was asked why the lock was only on the women’s bathroom, he explained that it was intended to prevent men from entering the women’s bathroom. Of course, this reasoning did not sit right with anyone. Texas women are urged to stay alert, not only to their surroundings but also to any peculiarities in the area before entering any situation. Check for locks or anything unusual, as it may save your life.
