Dunbar allegedly stated that he planned to use his vehicle to disrupt the vigil, which was expected to draw roughly 1,000 attendees that evening.

The threats were posted on the Facebook page of the San Antonio Young Republicans, who had organized a campus visit for conservative commentator Charlie Kirk. According to the affidavit, Dunbar allegedly wrote that the event was a disgrace and that he intended to ensure "this won’t be a good or comforting vigil." He allegedly went on to say, “I’m gonna make a movie out of this event — me and my truck.”

When others on social media expressed concern and questioned his comments, Dunbar allegedly responded, “You’ll see tomorrow. I would just advise trying to stop a 4-250 diesel truck. Show y’all how much Charlie really means.”
After being confronted, Dunbar admitted to posting the comments on Facebook and acknowledged they could have been interpreted as threatening. However, he claimed he was just “being dumb and clowning around.”
According to the affidavit, Dunbar is currently being held in the Bexar County Jail on a $40,000 bond.
