Every year on March 7th America celebrates "National Cereal Day" and as the day approached this year I glanced at the top of our family refrigerator and just stared at the awesome collection of cereal boxes resting nicely side by side. Then I began counting, yep, there are ten boxes up there, and why up there?

So I asked the boss in my house as to the reasoning behind storing all the breakfast cereals on the top of our refrigerator. My wife explained that when the kids were younger they would open a box of cereal, grab a couple of handfuls and run off leaving A) the box wide open sitting on a chair or the table, B) open and exposed to get stale, and C) where the dog or cat could get into them and she added money doesn't grow on trees.

She emphasized that cereal ain't cheap and we ain't made of money. That stated I asked, "why do we have so many different brands then?" Wife Donna replied "we have eight children, then there's you and I" point was well made.

So, I'm not in the least bit surprised to discover that Texans are serious about its breakfast cereal, and below are the top 10 kinds of cereal in the Lone Star State as revealed by Google searches.
