AI has revolutionized how we do things in the state of Texas. With so many upsides to its usage, many wonder how it can change life for everyone. But, there are also concerns, especially with its prominence in usage with Texas students.

How Often Do Texas Students Use AI To Help With School?

To find out the answer, Preply ran a study to find out how much each state in the United States uses AI. In total, 1,812 students from around the nation were polled, the age of the students being 12 years old and up. So, how often do students ask for assistance from AI?

Per Preply, a staggering 80% of students in school use AI for work. Which, to say the least, is a lot of students in the nation. Texas though, landed in the top three states for using AI the most when it comes to coursework. But, now the bigger question becomes, what is AI used mostly for?

Which Are The Top Subjects For AI Usage?

Per Preply, the top subject is none other than English/Language Arts. Coming in second is Mathematics, and third is History. But, the data reveals more than just the curriculum.

In fact, the reasons a student would use it are multiple. The number one reason is getting assistance with whatever material is being studied, to possibly summarize it or gain a better understanding of it. The second most popular reason is that the student will use AI to check grammar on reports they write. The third reason involves math, with it helping solve math problems.

Overall it seems AI is used to help rather than do a whole assignment for somebody. But, the reason for using AI to do the whole project was listed by Preply, and that's something Texas, and the nation as a whole, will have to find out how to counteract.
