Texas Kid May Have Broken Jr State Record with 67-Pound Catfish Catch
What a whoppper!
13-year-old Brayden Rogers of Cisco caught a massive catfish on Lake Takwakoni Saturday, and it could set a new junior angler record. That big boy weighed an unbelievable 67.1 pounds according to the guides who took Rogers out on the lake, Michael and Teri Littlejohn's Lake Tawakoni Guide Service.
The service uploaded the video below to Facebook congratulating Rogers on the catch and announcing the weight of the monster fish.
KDFW-TV report that Rogers has donated the fish to Texas Parks & Wildlife, and it's now living at the Texas Freshwater Fisheries Center near Athens. Meanwhile, TP&W confirmed on Twitter that the catfish is a pending junior state angler record.
Congratulations to Breydon on this stunning catch! We're glad the fish will live a long, happy life in a safe place, but at the same time, we're thinking about how tasty that thing'd be after a good fryin'!
