Open Letter to Central Texas: COVID-19 Is Still Here Don’t Let Your Guard Down
After COVID-19, returning to normal here in Central Texas was incredibly difficult. Many people lost their jobs during the pandemic. Rent increased, and—most tragically—lives were lost. It wasn't easy to just go back to the way things were.

Protect Yourself: COVID-19 Precautions Still Matter in Central
Even though it felt strange to return to regular routines, Texans did what they had to do. They took off their masks and went back to work. But here's what I want us all to remember: COVID-19 is still very real. The coronavirus hasn’t disappeared from Central Texas. It may not be as disruptive as it once was, but it’s still here. People are still getting sick—sometimes mistaking it for the flu—only to find out it’s actually COVID-19.
Let’s Keep Central Safe: A COVID-19 Reminder to All Resident
Simple habits like keeping your distance, washing your hands after using the restroom, and carrying hand sanitizer should now be part of our daily routines. We’re not saying Texans need to go back to wearing masks or isolating from loved ones. But we are saying: please remember the virus is still with us. Following basic precautions could be what saves someone’s life.
Staying safe is all we want—for you, and for Texas.
