Temple, Texas Student Arrested After Injuring A Staff Member

On February 8 KWTX reported that a Temple, Texas student who attends Lake Belton High School had to be taken into custody and transported to a detention center in Killeen due to the student injuring a staff member at the high school.

WHAT HAPPENED TO THE LAKE BELTON STAFF MEMBER?

The incident happened about 4 PM on February 7 and police said that two students were in the ISS room across the hall from the resources officer's office. Once a staff member went to the ISS room to escort a student to the bathroom another individual decided he didn’t want to follow the instructions and began to leave the ISS room without permission, says the police. Once the staff member attempted to stop the student from leaving their access room, a disturbance happened and the resource officer heard the commotion and went to investigate.

The officer noticed the student and a staff member were in a  debacle. Due to the incident, the staff member did feel certain pains and wanted to press charges. As of right now, the 14-year-old juvenile information has not been released as of yet.
