Big Ced’s 2021 Top Super Bowl Commercial Picks

Hey CTX! Last night was little different. I am used to attending big Super Bowl watch parties at a venue or house, but nevertheless I had a good time with close friends. Hopefully you did too.

Besides the BIG game and halftime show during the Super Bowl, you know we all tune in for the commercials. We spend just as much time around the water cooler Monday talking about the ads as we do the game.

So, in case you missed these standouts or want to relive them, here are my 2021 Super Bowl Commercial Picks.

1.  GM aired there Super Bowl ad starring Will Ferrell, Kenan Thompson, and Awkwafina to promote GM EV technology. It's a pretty hilarious commercial, and I liked it. How could you not with a cast like that?

2. Rocket Mortgage aired two Super Bowl ads this year starring Tracy Morgan and showed us the difference between certain and pretty sure. I'm certain these commercials were quite funny!

3.M&M's Super Bowl ads always please. I think when I mess up at home, I'm just gonna apologize with M&M's from now on. Genius!

4. State Farm didn't disappoint with this ad starring Aaron Rodgers, Patrick Mahomes, and of course the State Farm guy. Oh, and a couple of stand-in nobodies: Singer/rapper Drake and actor Paul Rudd.

5. Frito-Lay’s Cheetos ad starring Mila Kunis, Ashton Kutcher, and Shaggy gifted us all an unforgettable orange-hued rendition of Shaggy’s song “It Wasn’t Me.”

6. Anheuser-Busch brought out all the Bud Light legends from Super Bowls past to make this epic commercial. I forgot some of those actors and characters were in previous ads, so it was a nice nostalgia trip!

7. T-Mobile promoted  its 5G coverage by having Anthony Anderson and his mama go head-to-head in a good o' backyard football game. I found it hysterical!

8. Michelob Ultra pinned the theme of happiness in their 2021 ad. With an all-star cast of athletes. the concept centered around a key question: "Are you happy because you win, or do you win because you’re happy?" I believe I'm winning in life because I try to pursue happiness, so this ad spoke to me.
