Study Tells Us What We Already Know: Austin Traffic Is Pretty Bad

According to the Austin American Stateman, Austin was ranked as having some of the worst traffic congestion problems in the world this past year, according to a study by navigation provider company TomTom.
TomTom.... conducted a global index study measuring 2018 traffic in 403 cities across the globe. The index ranked Austin No. 19 in the U.S. for most congested traffic, and No. 179 globally. - Via Austin American Statesman
Austin was the highest ranked Texas city with Houston (23 nationally), Dallas-Fort Worth (44 nationally), and San Antonio (54 nationally) rounding out the Texas list.
If you need another reason to thumb your nose at Californians, Los Angeles was ranked the most congested city in the country.
The worst time to be on the road are weekday evenings from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m., where travel times can be an average of 63% longer. - Austin American Statesman
I have to say that I'm in agreement with my friends who have been long time residents of the city and have seen this insanity grow tremendously over the years: Don't move to Austin, stay where you are. Thanks!
