You don't have to travel all the way to the North Pole to see Santa, just head on down to College Station for all things merry and bright!

Santa's Wonderland in College Station is only an hour and a half drive from Temple and boasts tons of activities for families looking for some Christmas cheer. The 2020 season kicks off this weekend on November 13 and ends December 30th. Hours do vary during the season, so be sure to check their website.

One of the activities that immediately caught my eye is the opportunity to go snow tubing. As Central Texans, we don't receive much snow, but somehow Santa's Wonderland has made it possible. You can slide down a hill on a tube with real snow! There's also a snow playground for making snow angels, snowmen, or just a having a good ol' fashioned snowball fight.

But as I mentioned previously, that's just one of the many activities available at Santa's Wonderland. There is also an ice skating arena and a walkable trail of lights! Yes, walkable! Driving through is nice, but having the time to truly admire those twinkling lights is something right out of a fairytale.

After your walk, enjoy Santa's Barnyard Petting Zoo & Pony Rides or catch a ride on the West Pole Express Train. Don't worry - there's plenty of romantic adventures for the adults as well. You can enjoy a ride on a private horse drawn carriage, catch some live music, or take advantage of over 25,000 square feet of covered shopping.

There's plenty of beautiful spots for photo-ops that are sure to last a lifetime, so what are you waiting for?

The address is 18898 Hwy 6, College Station, TX in case you want to plug it into your GPS.

Don't forget about the Temple and Killeen Christmas parades happening in December, and of course Nature in Lights out at BLORA for celebrating locally.
