A 3-year-old Robinson ISD student found unresponsive Friday morning on a school bus has passed away, according to a report from our partners at News 10.

Police responded to the scene at approximately 7:20 AM in the 600 block of East Moonlight. The child was not breathing and officers immediately began CPR.

The young boy was taken to Baylor Scott & White Hillcrest Medical Center, where he was resuscitated and then flown to Mclane's Children Hospital in Temple.

The Robinson ISD Facebook page posted the following on Friday,

"This morning one of our youngest students had a medical emergency while being transported to school on the bus. Currently, the student is being attended to at the hospital. All prayers for the student and family are greatly appreciated!!"

Unfortunately on Sunday the 3-year-old passed at Mclane's Children Hospital.

The Texas Department of Family and Protective services confirmed on Friday that a safety-belt was found wrapped around the child's neck.

An autopsy has been ordered and the Robinson Police and Texas Department of Family and Protective services are working together to investigate the circumstances of the child's passing.
