There are plenty of drivers on Texas roads. So many cars are going to and from certain areas. Some of them might even be driving through toll booths in the Lone Star State.
How Many Toll Booths Are In The State Of Texas?
Residents in the state of Texas know toll booths all too well. Mostly because well, none of us really like paying tolls don't we? It's hard to avoid them too, they're everywhere after all.
In total, there are 84 toll roads in the Lone Star State, per CW33. That's a long stretch of over 850 miles of road too! With that amount of road, you definitely know when you're coming up on having to pay a toll.

But, how bad is actually paying a toll in the Lone Star State. Believe it or not, it's not as bad compared to the rest of the nation.

The answer lies in the data collected by Chicksx. When they examined 400 toll roads across the United States, they were able to determine who was paying more and who was paying less while going through toll booths.
So, Texas was in a top ten for tolls. Which at first glance may worry some individuals. However, the state is in the top ten for lowest toll prices.
Yes, you read that right, Texas tolls aren't as hard on one's wallet as a Texan would imagine. Overall, the data revealed that $3.05 is the average toll price a Texan pays, which is an estimated $0.29 per mile.
