Ordnance recovered in Fort Hood/Killeen Scare

Residence in the neighborhoods of Splawn Ranch, Hunt Drive, Carol Way, and Transit Drive were areas of imminent danger on Friday after stolen artillery from Fort Hood required Killeen Police assistance.

Friday multiple pieces of ordnance were removed from Fort Hood as Killeen Police received a request from the Army’s Criminal Investigation Division for assistance.

The Killeen Police Department News reports that just after 10 pm on Friday the ordnance was safely removed and recovered by the Army's Explosive Ordnance Disposal Unit.

No information is given on who stole the artillery and why.

This could have been very very bad, thankfully this ended with a recovery.
