In the era of President Trump, "Fake News" is now a sad and unfortunate reality of the digital age. What's actually true and factual is questioned and the "parody" and "click-bait" news is getting passed around as fact. So it's up to all of us to understand the difference between the two so we don't go around sharing false information.

An article from a website called "Weekend Herald" is reporting that a Killeen man "sets a new record for the longest penis in the world". The story has made the rounds on Facebook, showing up in several Central Texans' newsfeeds.

It didn't take long for me to find a matching headline on that same website, but it professes that a "Port Huron, Michigan" man also has "the world's longest penis" with the wording of the article almost matching the "Killeen" story word for word, and it was written in June. Thus, this story is FAKE.

We understand it can be tough to tell the difference between what's real and fake, but we're here to help! A simple "date check" helps for starters, and then check to see if any other news sources are reporting the story as well. If they aren't, chances are high that you've been had.
