Last week, students at a school in Corpus Christi got the best news of their young lives: no homework for the entire school year.

KRIS-TV in Corpus Christi reports that parents at Kolda Elementary were the driving force for the decision.

The school reportedly spent a year researching homework's impact on kids, and the advisory committee made the decision after surveying parents as well.

One big thing they found in the surveys is that parents agree that children’s brains are exhausted by the time they get home from school.

The principal of Kolda Elementary concluded that the research proved student achievement will not improve because they are assigned homework.

I love this 21st century way of thinking!
