The Key to Living Your Best Life: Be Laser-Focused on Today
Besides the rain, the weekend was pretty good.
I started my Saturday at Dodge Country Used Cars, where they're having a big memorial day event next weekend.
They'll have bounce houses, a petting zoo, and a dunking booth, to name a few.
Of course, Dodge Country will serve food too!
After I did my weekend show, I headed over to Twice as Funny Comedy Lounge to check out Gary Owens.
TAFC has a great upcoming line-up with Tommy Davidson, Lil Duval, Earthquake, Jess Hilarious, and Nephew Tommy.
After watching Gary Owens, I finished my Saturday night at my favorite local spot - Chief's Sports Bar and Grill in Killeen.
Kay Smoove spinning all the hits is always a good time at Chief's.
Because of the rain, we decided to go to the church not far from our house.
The pastor there had a great message: pretty much, he talked about living and focusing on today, telling the congregation to not focus on the past and not worry about the future.
If you focus on that 24 hours in that day, your life will be much better.
The Pastor said that if you worry about the past and the future, you bleed off your productivity.
He talked about a famous physician named William Osler who read a quote that changed his life: “Our main business is not to see what lies dimly at a distance, but to do what lies clearly at hand.”
~Thomas Carlyle
He stated in his message that if you want to have a good life, you've got to be laser-focused today.
You know the saying taking it one day at a time? I encourage everyone to focus on the 24 hours in that day.
