ACL Fest offers free single-day tickets to 1,000 people who sign up for vaccinations

Are you looking for a free one-day pass to the Austin City Limits Music Festival this fall? You can catch an ACL Fest chaser on Friday at Austin's Q2 Stadium if you're not yet vaccinated.

"Ready to get vaccinated? We are partnering with VaxTogetherAustin, Austin FC, and Walgreens to donate ACL Festival 1-Day Tickets for Weekend One to the first 1,000 people who pre-register and get vaccinated THIS Friday, 8/27 at Q2 Stadium in Austin," the festival posted to its social media accounts on Wednesday.

Details and registration are available at signupgenius.com/go/takeyourshot8-27vaxtogether. To be eligible for a ticket, you must sign up. Participants can register on Friday, Saturday, or Sunday of the festival's first weekend, Oct. 1-3.

To qualify for the free wristband, you must receive your first or second dose of a Coronavirus vaccine by Q2. There are vaccines from Pfizer, Moderna, and Johnson & Johnson. The Moderna shot will only be available to participants for the second dose.
COVID-19 booster shots do not count.

Last week, ACL announced that attendees must provide proof of COVID-19 vaccination or a negative COVID-19 test to enter the 2021 festival.

The festival's headliners for 2021 include George Strait, Miley Cyrus, Billie Eilish, Rufus Du Sol, Tyler, The Creator, and Duran Duran. After DaBaby was dropped from the festival and Stevie Nicks pulled out due to Coronavirus concerns, ACL Fest organizers made several changes to Sunday's headliners.

The Q2 Stadium is a soccer-specific stadium located in the North Burnet section of North Austin, Texas. It is the home of Austin FC, a Major League Soccer team that began play in 2021
