According to the Temple Daily Telegram, the Killeen-Temple metropolitan area has experienced significant changes in unemployment rates. In July, the unemployment rate stood at 4.7%, up from 4.5% in June. However, this still marked a decrease from the 4.9% rate reported by the Texas Workforce Commission in 2024.

This increase contributed to a rise in employment numbers, with approximately 194,400 individuals employed, similar to the figures in June. Employment grew by more than 9,000 in June and reached approximately 9,600 in July.
