Killeen ISD Classes Won’t Resume Until At Least April 7th

Killeen ISD is informing parents to make plans to have their kids out of school for at least another week due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

According to the District's website, Killeen ISD schools and offices will remain closed through April 7, at the earliest, in alignment with Bell County Judge David Blackburn's Disaster Declaration Directive #4 Stay Home Stay Safe Order that was issued on Friday.

Students will be asked to complete classwork through packets or online through the Continued Learning Center which is live online right now. The Continued Learning Center is a variety of online platforms and remote teacher support that offers students continued elementary and secondary learning through the period of school closure related to the spread of the coronavirus.

KISD went on to say that the district will continue to provide Grab & Go Breakfast and Lunch meals and pay all employees during the COVID-19 closure.
