Killeen ISD Approves $387 Million Budget, Teachers Get Raise

Our hard working teachers and staff at KISD will be getting a much deserved pay raise and more after the district approved a $387 million dollar budget on Tuesday night.

According to our news partner KWTX News 10, the board voted unanimously to approve the budget which includes a $1,000 salary increase for teachers and a  2% salary raise for all other district staff. The budget will also provide teachers with $100 to purchase school supplies.

The starting salary for teachers at the district increased from $46,500 to $47,000 and that's going to help our teachers get a great start for the school year!
