Killeen Fire Department Celebrates Fire Prevention Week
The Killeen Fire Department is inviting the whole community to come out to an open house event to discuss fire, safety, and prevention tips and also participate in demonstrations for the fourth year in a row. On October 12 from 4 to 7 PM the Fire department will be at Central Fire Station located at 201 S. 28th St. where this event will be open to the public completely free.
KILLEEN FIRE DEPARTMENT WANTS YOU TO COME OUT FOR FIRE PREVENTION WEEK
The event will be a part of the National Fire Prevention Week that runs from October 6 until October 12. This event will help educate the community on fire, safety, and target fire prevention. Residents will also get a chance to meet with Killeen Fire fighters who can educate the community and display basic first-aid tips.
HERE IS WHAT IS INCLUDED AT THIS EVENT
Obstacle courses for the youth, vehicle tours and demos, including helicopters, and demonstrations on how quickly fire can spread also be included. The kids will also get to visit with Sparky The dog and residents are reminded that all activities will be determined by the weather.
