On May 22, students say goodbye to the 2024–2025 school year, having completed the entire academic year.

Throughout the year, students studied hard, enjoyed football games, experienced highs and lows with friends, and now they can look forward to a well-deserved summer break. After all the hard work they've put in, we encourage them to enjoy every moment of the summer ahead.

However, parents should keep in mind that the City of Killeen NO LONGER  enforces a curfew for minors. Which means keeping your children safe and out of trouble could possibly take a lot more effort. Don't get me wrong I am not saying you have a trouble teen or child I am just saying at one point we knew between the hours of 6:00 am through 11:00 pm our babies being in the house was a must!

The previous schedule was:

Sunday through Thursday: Minors may be outside from 6:00 AM until 11:00 PM.

Friday and Saturday nights: The curfew runs from 12:01 AM until 6:00 AM.

For context:

The Killeen Mall closes at 8:00 PM.

Most movie theaters close by midnight depending on the movie

So realistically, there are very few reasons for minors to be out and about this summer past a certain time. But either way its all about making  sure the community works together for everyone to enjoy a safe and fun filled summer.
