Many in the nation remember Congressman John Lewis for his efforts while part of the United States Government. Since his passing in 2020, multiple individuals have made efforts to remember what he did for civil rights. In Belton, Texas, a march will be held soon for his mantra of "good trouble, necessary trouble.”

When Is The "Good Trouble Lives On" March Taking Place?

According to a press release, three major organizations are at the center of the march. Killeen NAACP, Bell County Texas Democratic Women, and Indivisible Centex are the organizers. The event will take place in Belton starting at 6:30 PM on Thursday July 17th, 2025, and end at 8 PM.

The beginning of the event will be a march, beginning at the Historic Bell County Courthouse, located at 101 E. Central Ave. This match will lead into a rally, beginning at 7 PM, taking place at 218 N. Alexander St., which is Mt. Zion United Methodist Church.
