After nearly a month of being closed due to an overnight fire at Miller’s Smokehouse in Belton, residents can now rejoice—according to KCENT, they are back open and serving food through a food truck.

Why Do People Love Miller's Smokehouse?

When we first reported on the fire, it was clear that the community was deeply saddened by the loss of such a beloved establishment. You have to give it to Central Texans—people truly love Miller’s Smokehouse. The food is amazing, the people are just as incredible, and the atmosphere is fantastic.

Keep in mind, Miller’s is well known for its frequent appearances on Texas Monthly’s coveted Top 50 Barbecue list. That’s right—Miller’s is a big deal here in Central Texas, which is why so many Texans are excited to hear the news.

Where Is The Temporary Location Of Miller's Smokehouse

The food truck will now be serving its delicious barbecue from 5 to 8 p.m. in the same area as the original restaurant, located at 300 E. Central Ave. There will be a regular rotating menu while staff operate out of the truck, according to the owners.

On social media, the owners shared their appreciation for the overwhelming love and support they’ve received from the community following the fire. Even though there were a few tears along the way, Miller’s Smokehouse has come out strong—and we’re glad to see them back.
