So many millennial girls loved Lisa Frank that when people discovered the factory was in Tucson, Arizona, many were curious to see what was inside!

For those of us who grew up in the '80s and '90s, Lisa Frank didn't need an introduction! We all loved the folders, the fuzzy pens, and, most importantly, those holographic stickers! But not many knew that Lisa's factory was in Tucson, Arizona- appropriately located at the 6700 block of Lisa Frank Avenue.

What Happened to Lisa Frank?

Lisa Frank, Inc. was founded in 1979 by Lisa Frank- yes, she's a real person! The company's headquarters was located in Tucson, Arizona. While the brand enjoyed immense success in its heyday, it faced some challenges in the late 1990s and early 2000s. Despite this, Lisa Frank's designs have retained a nostalgic and iconic status for many who grew up with her products.

According to Business Insider, the factory had been up for sale for years, with a price tag of $17 million!

But is the factory as whimsical on the inside as it is on the outside? Back in 2012, Lisa Frank herself gave us a sneak peek of where the magic happens!

I guess you could say that Lisa Frank grew up with the rest of us, but because this is a new day and age of course, Lisa Frank was resurrected!

In recent years, there has been a resurgence of interest in Lisa Frank's designs, with people embracing the retro aesthetic and seeking out vintage Lisa Frank items. The brand has also collaborated with contemporary fashion and lifestyle brands to bring back some of the iconic designs in new and innovative ways- which you can check out here.

And then, they created a TikTok!

We can't go back to the 80's or 90's, but we can certainly style ourselves like the era!
