The Texas Department of Public Safety Is Increasing Patrols

The month of March is a party month for many Americans. This is the month students get out of school for Spring Break and it is the same month we celebrate all things Irish with St. Patrick’s Day. Because of the increased drinking this month, DPS says it is increasing patrols beginning today through March 17th.

The Driving Infractions That Will Get You Pulled Over

According to Fox44, DPS officers will be looking for several infractions. Speeding and wreckless driving will get you pulled over along with not wearing seat belts, driving while intoxicated or committing other traffic violations. I’d like to suggest to officers that drivers going under the speed limit in the passing lane be dealt with harshly.


 


 

2025’s Spring Break Season Saw Thousands of Citations

Over 93,000 driving citations and warnings were issued in Texas in 2025. According to Fox 44, the following citations were written:

6,425 speeding violations

516 seat belt and child seat violations

2,483 violations for driving without insurance

552 felony and fugitive arrests
