Someone who grew up right here in Wichita Falls gets to call themselves a World Series champion once again.

As the self proclaimed biggest New York Yankee hater in Wichita Falls, I am PROUD that the Los Angeles Dodgers defeated the biggest scumbag organization in all of sports last night. If you were on the fence about who to root for in the World Series. All of Wichita Falls can come together to root for one of our own.

Ryan Braiser World Series Champion

Ryan grew up right here in Wichita Falls and attended Rider High School from 2002-2006. After that, Ryan went to Weatherford College before getting drafted by the Los Angeles Angels in 2007. This would be the second time that Ryan gets to call himself a World Series champion as he was also on the 2018 Boston Red Sox. Funny enough, the 2018 Red Sox beat the Dodgers in the World Series that year.

In looking for info for Ryan today, I found out he got his first ever strikeout in the MLB to my team (Baltimore Orioles) and also he sat down for an interview with the WFISD on what it's like to be in the MLB and get his baseball career started right here in Wichita Falls.

Ryan on February 8, 2024 signed a two year deal with the Los Angeles Dodgers, so he will be back for another run next year at least. Congratulations to Ryan and all of the Los Angeles Dodgers on defeating the absolute bums that are the New York Yankees.
