Soldier From Ft. Cavazos Facing Murder Charges In Military Court

According to FOX News former staff Sergeant Marlone Best( Fort Cavazo )  is charged and will be going to trial in February for allegedly murdering Larry P Kidd Junior.

LARRY P. KIDD WAS THE SECOND MURDER OF THE YEAR IN THE CITY

Monday, the arrangement was held at the Lawrence Williams Judicial Center at  Fort Cavazo. This is a sad story where Larry P Kidd, unfortunately, was the victim of the second murder of the year in the city of Killeen when he was shot during an altercation in the 900 block of W. Central Texas Expressway. Staff Sergeant Marlone Best has a plea of not guilty and it was not clear why the case had been held in a military court instead of a civilian courtroom.

THE PRETRIAL AND TRIAL DATES ARE  SET

There was a statement released by the Army Office of the Special Trial Council that said it had referred to one charge and two different charges against the staff sergeant for the murder of this victim.  The pretrial is set for November 18 with the trial scheduled to begin January 2025.
