BE ALERT: SNAP Benefits In Texas Have Made Major Changes
Inflation in Texas has significantly affected the state's residents. Grocery prices remain high, but starting October 1, the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program also known as (SNAP) will see increased benefits according to KXAN.

SNAP BENEFITS ARE ADJUSTING IN THE MONTH OF OCTOBER
Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program or SNAP is designed to assist low-income families by supplementing their grocery budgets, enabling them to access nutritious food and promote overall well-being. The amount traditionally received through the Supplemental Nutrition Assistance Program (SNAP) program in Texas may be adjusted due to this increase in allotments.
WHAT IS THE INCREASE TEXAS WILL SEE?
Currently, Texas, along with 47 other states and Washington D.C., will receive maximum SNAP benefits, which means that for each additional person added to a household's SNAP benefits, there will be an extra $220 per month. The maximum SNAP benefits will increase by a few dollars per household size:
1 person: $292
2 people: $536
3 people: $768
4 people: $975
5 people: $1,158
6 people: $1,390
7 people: $1,536
8 people: $1,756
