Six of the ‘Hottest Zip Codes’ in the United States Are in Texas
What does the 'hottest zip code' mean when we are talking about real estate?
Despite the fact that we are talking about the state of Texas, the term 'hottest' isn't about the temperature! When referring to houses for sale, the term means listings that went into contract within 90 days of hitting the market. For the first time, one city in Texas made it into the top 10, while another Central Texas town on the list was named one of the fastest-growing areas in the country earlier this year.

One of the reasons South Texas is so popular could be the fact that cost of living in San Antonio is 8% lower than the national average, according to payscale.com.
