One of the lead singers of one of the 70's biggest funk bands has passed away at the age of 65.

Keith Wilder passed away in his sleep on Sunday according to Rolling Stone. Wilder shared lead singing duties in Heatwave with his brother Johnnie Wilder Jr. on such classics like "Always And Forever" and the band also had several hits including "The Groove Line", "Boogie Nights" and "Ain't No Half Steppin".

While several members of the group passed away over the years, Wilder continued to tour and perform until a stroke forced him off the road a few years ago. Wilder is survived by his mother, wife, three brothers and four children.

We send our condolences to his family, friends and fans.
