Police say a Harker Heights woman was intoxicated when her car got stuck on railroad tracks in Belton, and she had a child with her.

According to The Killeen Daily Herald, the woman who is identified as 21-year-old Faith Elisha Ann Burgess. Her vehicle was found stranded on tracks near West Calhoun and North 15th Street on 25 by a Temple police officer.

Burgess reportedly told the officer another vehicle hit hers, causing her car to end up on the tracks. Police, however, said the vehicle had no signs of impact, and that Burgess's speech was slurred and she smelled of alcohol. When she couldn't complete a field sobriety test, she was arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated with a child passenger.

She was later released after posting $15,000 bond.

Burgess was indicted in Belton Wednesday, the Herald reports.

In case you didn't know, the legal blood alcohol limit in Texas is 0.08 percent. If you're 21 or younger and test positive for anything over 0 while driving, you can get in serious trouble. (Aside from underage drinking.)

This should go without saying, but if you're going to be drinking, don't drive. That goes double if you have kids in the car. C'mon. Call for a ride, book an Uber, or sober up before you get behind the wheel. It's not worth losing your life, getting your kids hurt or killed, or winding up in jail.
