At the age of 22, most of us were still trying to figure out what the hell we going to do with the rest of our lives. It's been clear now for the last few years that H.E.R. knows exactly what she's going to be, one of the biggest stars in the known galaxy.

Last night I had the pleasure of witnessing this amazing talent perform for a taping of the iconic PBS series Austin City Limits. For starters, checking out a live show at ACL Live at The Moody Theater is a must and if you want to go to one, you need to follow Austin City Limits on all their social media. Many thanks to KLRU and the ACL Live team!

Now, to the show, you've seen H.E.R. do her thing on the Grammys and BET Awards, but to see and hear it LIVE in its true glory is a thing to behold. She commanded the stage, showcasing her musicianship by playing keyboards, drum pads, bass, acoustic, and electric guitars all throughout the show. Not to mention her vocals were flawless, at one point she received a 2 to 3 minute standing ovation from the audience before even finishing the song!

Imagine the soulful voice of Anita Baker, the swag of Lauryn Hill and musical skills of Prince wrapped into one package. H.E.R. also paid respect to some of the artists I just mentioned including closing the show with an amazing electric guitar solo of "Purple Rain".

I'm not going to tell you the WHOLE show, you're going to have to check H.E.R.'s episode when Season 45 of Austin City Limits comes out this fall on PBS. You might see me in the crowd!
