FULL VIDEO: Father Dead, Three Kids Injured in Killeen, Texas Gun Violence

Killeen, Texas, man Jahid Hombre, 52, was shot and killed on March 26 in the 6100 block of Griffin Loop, according to KWTX. The shooting occurred just before 7 PM, and upon police arrival at the scene, it was evident that Jahid Hombre had suffered multiple gunshot wounds. Despite life-saving efforts to revive him, he was pronounced dead at the scene by Justice of the Peace Gregory Johnson.

Killeen Neighborhood Gun Violence Claims Father’s Life, Wounds Three Children

One teenager and two young boys, aged 18, 12, and 10, were also injured during the shooting. Officers reported that two of the individuals sustained gunshot wounds, while the third was injured in a crash that occurred after the shooting. All three young men were transported to a local hospital, but their current conditions remain unknown.

A 16-year-old child was taken into custody and transported to the Bell County detention center. Police stated that the initial investigation indicates that the victim had approached the front of the 16-year-old's residence in a vehicle, at which point the suspect opened fire during an altercation. The victim attempted to drive away from the scene but crashed approximately two blocks away.
An eyewitness and local therapist, Melissa Ray, who lives moments away from the incident, described the situation as very stressful, not only for the well-being of the children in the neighborhood but for everyone’s mental health who had to witness such a heinous act. She emphasized the importance of knowing what is going on in our children’s lives to prevent situations like this.
