Elon Musk is giving something other than drama this weekend to Texas residents. Tesla is offering free super charging for Tesla owners this Thanksgiving weekend.

Makes Me Want To Go Electric. Kinda

Tesla's charging service can cost about $18 for an 80% charge, which can take you up to roughly 250 miles. The monthly charge costs are around $45/mo to get your Tesla battery to a 100% charge. Of course this depends on where you live, and a few other variables like how much and how far you drive it for example.

For The Free

Elon Musk has said that he never looked to make a ton of money on charging services. So, in the greater scheme of things, that’s one less thing to have to stress about as a Tesla owner, right? Now he's making things even merrier and bright (offline). If you are a Tesla owner in the Lone Star State he’s offering free supercharging to many busy areas over the Thanksgiving holiday weekend.

Ain't Nobody Got Time For That

With Texas being on this list, it should make your holidays a little less hectic, I hope. Super charging itself may not cost a ton of money, but it's the time factor that Tesla owners are counting up when it comes to charging up their electric vehicles. The difference between waiting in line at a gas station vs. at a charging station are two different experiences. Waiting in line for a supercharge can be upwards of 30 minutes, then there’s the 30 minutes you wait while yours gets a full charge.

So, the idea behind this is that by offering this charging time frame for free, it will open up normal peak times, helping to alleviate long lines. According to Teslarati, Texas is one of the four states to offer the free fast charging service. To take advantage of the free charging, you have to do it between Wednesday, Nov. 23 and Sunday, Nov. 27, between the hours of 8am and 9am. Enjoy the weekend fully charged. Maybe he will come back around for Christmas too. Hmmmm. We shall see. K-Lew out!

Who Are The 5 Richest People in Texas, Not Counting Elon Musk?

There are more billionaires in America than in any other country, according to Stacker. For some people, the money just keeps pouring in, as Amazon CEO Jeff Bezos is projected to become the world’s first trillionaire by 2026.

However, Bezos is not the world's richest person right now. That title goes to the founder of SpaceX, Tesla, and the new owner of Twitter, Elon Musk. Musk owns a mansion in Austin but says his main home is a $50,000 rental from SpaceX in Boca Chica, Texas.

Forbes lists 63 billionaires in Texas, including Elon Musk. Let's find out who's at the top of the list in the Lone Star State for 2022, right behind Musk.
