The widow of a fallen Texas police officer received an incredible Christmas gift this week.

KDFW-TV reports that Fort Worth Cpl. Garrett Hull was killed in a shootout with robbery suspects in September of 2018, leaving behind a wife and two daughters.

Fox News reports that shortly after Cpl. Hull passed away, Sabrina Hull was contacted by Frank Siller with the Stephen Siller Tunnel to Towers Foundation - a non-profit that works to enrich the lives of veterans and first-responders. Sill offered to pay Mrs. Hull's mortgage as a way of helping her family stay in their home after the death of her husband.

This week, he made good on that promise as part Tunnels to Towers' Season of Hope campaign to provide 24 mortgage-free homes for veterans and first responders throughout the month of December.

The money to make this miracle happen comes from donations, including a $5 million donation from conservative talk radio host Rush Limbaugh.

Tunnel to Towers was started by Frank to honor his brother Stephen, a firefighter who passed away on 9/11/2001 after running through the Brooklyn Battery Tunnel with his gear on to get to the site of the World Trade Center attacks and help save lives.
