Soldiers From Fort Cavazos Taken Into Custody By Law Enforcement

Per The Austin American-Statesmen, The U.S. attorney's office of the Western District of Texas provided the information. According to the office, on November 27th, 2024, Border Patrol agents in Presidio tried to bring a vehicle to halt.

As reported by the office, the vehicle drove away from the agents, described as at a "high rate of speed." While the vehicle was trying to get away from Border Patrol agents, the car hit a Border Patrol Vehicle, injuring an unidentified agent in the car. Eventually, police in the local area were able to bring the vehicle to a stop.

Four individuals were placed under arrest, three of which were undocumented for the United States. The other person arrested was Emilio Mendoza Lopez, telling police he was in the front seat.
