Copperas Cove police with the help of the U.S. Marshals have made an arrest in connection to a shooting that took the life of a 35 year old man.

According to the CCPD, police arrested 22 year old Anthony Ramos of Killeen on Tuesday charging him with aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

According to investigators, 35 year old Eric Rodgers, was shot during an argument with Ramos on North 7th Street. Rodgers suffered two gunshot wounds and was transported to Advent Hospital in Killeen where he was pronounced deceased.

A second victim, 34 year old Darien Selby, was also struck in the abdomen by a bullet
that passed through the front of his residence. He was taken to Baylor Scott and White Hospital in Temple where he was treated and released.

Detectives located Anthony Ramos in Killeen where he was arrested with the assistance of the Killeen Police Department and the US Marshals. Ramos was arraigned on Wednesday by Justice of the Peace John Guinn and received a $150,000 surety bond for aggravated assault causing serious bodily injury and $100,000 surety bond for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
