Against the Flames: Harker Heights Firefighters Race to Save Woman Trapped in Blaze
Not all superheroes wear capes — some are amazing firefighters! According to KCENT, a woman was rescued from a burning home over the weekend by Harker Heights firefighters, as confirmed by the City of Harker Heights. The fire department was dispatched to a residence on W. Bob White Lane around 12:27 p.m. after reports indicated that someone might still be inside the house.

Upon arrival, firefighters were met with heavy smoke and flames pouring from the roof. Without hesitation, they initiated a search and rescue operation. According to city officials, the woman was found unconscious inside the home. Firefighters successfully rescued her and immediately began performing CPR. She was then transported to a hospital for further treatment.

Unfortunately, four firefighters sustained minor injuries during the incident, and one police officer was treated for smoke inhalation. All are expected to recover.
