Almost 3 million households were reportedly without power as of Wednesday morning, and to make things worse a lot of households went without water as well.

The White House has declared a federal emergency for Texas as the entire state deals with severe winter weather.

This comes after Governor Greg Abbott requested the Federal Emergency Declaration be issued.

President Joe Biden's declaration allows for the Federal Emergency Management Agency (FEMA) to coordinate all disaster relief efforts and provide assistance to those impacted by the winter weather.

Gov. Abbott previously issued a disaster declaration for all 254 counties in the state as a winter storm tore through the state.

Please call 254-405-4247 and they will make arrangements to pick you up safely. The city of Killeen does not have a number for rides and only have two warming centers -- but if you are in dire need for a ride to warmth in Killeen you can call the police department for assistance 254-501-8830.

Here are two warming centers in the Killeen area if you are still without power

The City of Killeen warming station has relocated to Skyline Baptist Church, 906 Trimmier Rd. Those using the center have been relocated and future persons in need should go directly to the church, the City of Killeen said.

Liberty Christian Center at 4107 Westcliff Road is also open as a warming station as well.

The Bell County Expo Center in Belton is also operating as a warming center.
