
Local Legends: Waco Public Works’ Heartwarming Duck Save
Animals are all around us here in the state of Texas. Some are big and some are very small. But, sometimes animals need our help getting out of a difficult situation, and that's exactly what happened in Waco, Texas.
Which Animals Could One Rescue Without Harming Oneself In Texas?
So, we've all seen somebody rescue a cat or dog stuck in the Texas heat. For some reason, there are people in the state of Texas that willingly harm animals, and it's up to us to make sure they're taken care of. Many in the state do their due diligence to make sure fur babies are taken care of too.
But then are there are moments when ordinary people become heroes and help Texas animals in a pinch. Most of the time however, these moments aren't captured on camera. Thankfully though, this one situation in Waco was documented and involved ducks.
Where Did The Duck Rescue Happen In Waco?
FOX 44 reports that the Waco Public Works were out in the city looking at damage caused rain in the area. The area in question was a drainage site. While they were inspecting, they heard a faint noise that turned out to be peeping:
Following the noise, the team noticed baby ducks that were having trouble following Momma duck after falling into the drain. Moving quickly, the team got the ducks out of the drain, and they were able to reunite the baby ducks with the mom.
So, job well done to Waco Public Works!
