A school district in Springfield, Illinois has updated its dress code policy and some may feel the move is controversial.

According to an updated Springfield school policy, students cannot wear pajama pants slippers or hats while on camera while taking online courses.
Reportedly, the policy changes were developed in collaboration with teachers and parents from the district hoping their students would continue to use the same approach with online learning as they would in person.

But some parents like Elizabeth Ballinger, who told FOX7 she is upset about the amendment to the policy:

“I made the decision for my kids to be at home and I don’t really see how any district can come in and say what my kid can’t wear in my house. I don’t think they have any right to say what happens in my house, I think they have enough to worry about as opposed to what the kids are wearing. They need to make sure they’re getting educated.”
