Copperas Cove will hosts its Feast of Sharing event on Thursday, November 19 as a drive up and drive-thru event.

Lots of folks here in Central Texas are feeling the pressure this holiday season, and with so many events being cancelled, it's good to see that the City of Copperas Cove along with the Noon Exchange Club of Copperas Cove and its sponsors, H-E-B Plus and Bush’s Chicken, will continue with this annual Feast of Sharing event for its 23rd year.

FOX44 News is reporting that the Feast of Sharing will happen on Thursday, November 19 as a Drive Up and Drive-Thru event, and will serve 450 meals with turkey and all the trimmings. Each car driving through will get a maximum of 4 pre-made meals.

There is no need to pre-register, as those residents that need the meals can just show up and pick up a plate.

This year's event is happening at the Copperas Cove Civic Center from 5:30p to 7:30p.  The Copperas Cove Civic Center is located at 1206 W Avenue B.

Public Relations Director Kevin Keller will be available to answer all questions regarding the Feast of Sharing at kkeller@copperascovetx.gov or by calling 254-547-4221 ext. 6243.

According to the Cove Leader Press, the Copperas Cove Feast of Sharing started in 1998 as a way to help low income citizens, senior adults, and low ranking military members and dependents in the city enjoy a Thanksgiving meal. That tradition lives on today.
